Working with the Root Cause Clinic

Giving your health the focus you deserve

Our present healthcare system is great at acute care & trauma. However, most of the illnesses we face today are chronic and complex. Treating the symptoms alone can be frustrating and often ineffective.

Through a series of consultations we unpick the reasons why the body isn’t functioning properly - digestive problems, fatigue, skin issues, arthritis, food intolerance and allergies, autoimmune issues, hormonal imbalances, thyroid function, depression, diabetes, fertility, weight loss, unexplained illness.... the list goes on.

A dietary and lifestyle analysis also provides insight into any nutritional deficiencies or lifestyle habits that may be impacting your body's ability to return to optimum health.

A personalised plan is formulated, with realistic nutritional and manageable lifestyle changes agreed, along with your preferred method of tracking symptom improvement. The Root Cause Clinic supports you to make positive and lasting changes over time, so ideally we suggest a minimum of 3 consultations over 3 months or for more complex cases further support once every 6 weeks for up to 12 months.

About Sherrie

Registered Nutritional Therapist (MBANT) & Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner;
BSc Biomedical Science, PgDip Nutritional Therapy

Clinic founder, Sherrie, is a busy working mother of two, who has first hand experience of the pressures of modern living and the impact this can have on your health and well-being.

After studying for her initial degree in Biomedical Science, she began a 12 year career in the pharmaceutical industry, working closely with GPs and Consultants in varying therapy areas.

Whilst communicating evidence-based outcomes for medicines treating specific symptoms, Sherrie gained an interest in the more holistic approach of nutritional and functional medicine on the impact on health and disease.

Seeking optimal health for her young family, she subsequently returned to study Nutritional Therapy at postgraduate level at the University of Worcester.
